JANUARY 7, 2017 - LAKE GEORGE - 22 RIMFIRE BR - RESULTS

How time flies. 
Just a short while ago we were shooting some Christmas shoots and enjoying Christmas and New Years and now we are shooting the first Benchrest match of the 2017 season. Lake George Gun Club was the host club for this first match under the capable direction of match Director Bruce B. Bruce was filling in for Terry McN. who is in the hospital. We wish Terry a very speedy recovery and hope he'll be shooting with us very soon.
The day started out terribly cold - about -25C - but this temperature did not last for the entire shoot. Thank Goodness! It stayed sunny to the point of glaring into our scopes, until the last relay when the light became more even with some cloud cover. The wind also picked up a bit as the day became a bit warmer but it

wasn't much of a factor for most of the day.

Everyone pitched in to help Match Director Bruce B. Don M. was the chief scorer while Carl J. who wasn't shooting today, verified the scores and stats. Targets were changed by John McC., Bruce B., Dave

C., George M., Cecil H. and Bert deV. The RO duties were shared by John McC., Bruce B., Wayne K., Dave C., Barb J., Bill H. and Bert deV.

We enjoyed a cornucopia of treats brought by Barb J. and Wayne K. while Bruce B. provided for the wonderful hotdogs. Although there was so much that a lot went back home, not a soul went without and shot a relay or two with nicely filled bellies. The food must have made a difference as some very good shooting was done today. The top 4 places consisted of 400 scores and the competition was about the number of Xs you could shoot. Guy H. with 400/24X, Volker T. with 400/22X, John McC. with 400/19X and Dave C. with 400/14X all made it to the Lake George 400 Club. Not bad for the first shoot!!
