MAY 22, 2022 - PETITCODIAC - RIMFIRE BR - RESULTS

Thanks to Volker T for sending these results and to Darryl K. for the pics.

It was a nice day for a shooting match. The weather was sunny, with temperatures running from 7C to 27C. Winds were light to moderate switching between left and right angles, and the occasional head/downwind. Occasionally someone got caught in a wind change. We had two relays, so the shoot went fairly fast.

Three shooters shot perfect targets with a good amount of X's. Congrats, guys. It was a real close tiebreaker between 2nd and 3rd, requiring going down to the second bull of the second target where the X was a deciding factor. Haven't seen that for a long time.

Thanks to Chris S. and John McC. for target work, Range officers Bruce B. and Dan G. Thanks for score verifying to Chris S., and of course to Barb J. for the excellent sweets which everyone likes.
Your Director, VMT.

MAY 8, 2022 - PETITCODIAC - CENTERFIRE BR RESULTS

Thanks to Danny G. for sending these results.
Awesome day today at the Petitcodiac Range with eight shooters participating in the centerfire event.  Wind was a bit twitchy but manageable.  The big issue today was some unrelenting mirage.  Very often you had to give it a best guess as the sight picture would not clear.  Regardless a good time was had by all and some people even shot pretty well.  Bert deV. prevailed with an awesome 300/18X.

Second place was had by Don M., closing with a perfect 100 in his last relay... a strong close Don, well done.  We had a tie for third between Malcolm McA. and Tony L. with Malcolm edging Tony out for the bronze medal with 13/X’s.  ROs today were Malcolm McA. and Bruce B.  Target setters and retrievers were Malcolm McA., Bruce B. and John McC.  Match director and scorer was Dan G. assisted by John McClusky as verifier.  Sweets provided by Shelly C. and Dan G. Thanks to everyone for helping out.

MAY 1, 2022 - MINTO - ANNUAL RIMFIRE TEAM SHOOT - RESULTS

Thanks to Dale H. for sending these results.
The annual  Rimfire Team Shoot was hosted in 2022 by the Minto Gun Club. It appears that everyone had a good time in the spirit of healthy competition today. As is usual for a get-together and shoot in New Brunswick, the food was a major draw and the food prepared by David C., president of the Minto Gun Club, and his wife Susan excelled again!,(delicious fish chowder, sandwiches and sides). Many thanks to David and Susan as well as to Barb J. who once again provided everyone with her famous treats.(fabulous banana bread, date squares, cookies and more).

The weather in New Brunswick for the past couple of weeks has been dismal with rain and cold temperatures and even this morning travellers reported fresh snow on the sides of the road. It started out overcast with a cool 2C and remained overcast with a light drizzle most of the day. The temperature slowly warmed to the 10c range by mid- afternoon. Winds were tricky and brisk to say the least.

CONGRATULATIONS TO TEAM MINTO GUN CLUB
