MARCH 10, 2024 - PETITCODIAC RIMFIRE - RESULTS

It was not a great weather day in Petticodiac for the second rimfire match of 2024. It was overcast with snow flurries and possible rain expected. Winds were constant with few breaks, ranging from 12 to 21km Easterly. The temperature ranged from -1C to +2C. Probably why the smaller than usual turnout. At least there was no mirage!
Considering the conditions, the scores were very good indeed. Congratulations go to John McC. who shot a 500/27X score. We had a run on X’s too with the final tally ranging from 14X to 29X (that's from 28% to 58%) - pretty darn good for this early in the season.
Volker T. was the match director and scored the targets with Dan G. verifying the scores and stats. Thanks to all who helped with running the match - the ROs, the target changers and the treat providers.

RESULTS - RIMFIRE BR - OPEN CLASS:
John McC. - 250/15X     250/12X   = 500/27X
Gerald D. -   250/13X     249/16X   = 499/29X
Wayne LeB. - 250/12X     249/15X   = 499/27X
Grant H. -   250/11X     249/11X   = 499/22X
Dan G. -     248/8X     249/10X   = 497/18X
Darryl K. -  250/8X     247/7X   = 497/15X

Volker T. -  248/5X     245/9X   = 493/14X
In anticipation of even more bad weather, everyone hurried home.

FEBRUARY 25, 2024 - PETITCODIAC - RIMFIRE BR. - RESULTS

It was a good beginning for this year’s shooting season at Petti. The day started out with temperatures at -13C heading up to -6C, but it was a sunny day and the range road was good, being sanded as well. But, with the bright sun reflecting off the hard snow, there was mirage to contend with and the sunshades were used. The winds were constant going from 10-20km. So, enough for a challenge to shooters.

Dan arrived with a bundle of firewood to heat up the stove and keep our freezing fingers warm. And a bunch of timbits for the shooters’ appetites. Thanks, Dan.

We did manage a 500 score today. Congrats Dan. He was followed closely behind by Chris and Grant, who had high X count. And a big welcome to a new shooter, Mathieu LeB. who held his own on his first competition with us. We hope to see more of him. Good shooting guys. Thanks to all who pitched in to help with Range Safety and target changing work.
