DECEMBER 12, 2016 - LAKE GEORGE GUN CLUB WINTER BR SHOOTS - SCHEDULE AND RULES - 2017

The Lake George Gun Club winter 22 Rimfire benchrest shoots will be starting on JANUARY 07, 2017 - start time of 10:00am. There will be three shoots in total:
January 07, 2017
February 04, 2017
March 04, 2017
Each shoot will have two classes - 22 LR BR OPEN CLASS and 22 LR BR SPORTER CLASS.
THERE WILL BE AWARDS FOR THE TWO TOP FINISHERS IN EACH CLASS ,
AND ALSO FOR THE TOP TWO SHOOTERS IN THE THREE SHOOT SERIES.
The rules for these shoots will be the same as the Lake George Gun Club Benchrest Rules.
NOTE: two things have changed in the SPORTER CLASS. You may bring your own sand bag and scopes of any size may be used, AND . . NO BULL/HEAVY TARGET BARRELS (restricted to o.65").

L.G.G.C. 2015 - 22 Rimfire Winter Benchrest Rules
Registration is from . The shoot will start at . The fee is $10.00. Coffee and light lunch is included. For each match, medals will be awarded for 1st and 2nd in each class. In order to qualify for the prizes/plaques for the entire 3 shoot series, a shooter must attend all 3 shoots.
Any rifle, any sights, any ammunition and any two piece rest with not more than 4" of contact on the rifle from either bag. The rifle cannot be clamped rigid and must be free to float.
Restricted to low and mid priced rifles with any action. No target rifles or any rifles with modifications (including no heavy barrels). The cut-off price will be around the CZ bolt action and the Marlin lever action. If there is a dispute the committee will have the final say.
No heavy barrels, barrels can only measure a max of .65" with no modifications such as tuners.
Any ammunition permitted.
Rests will be one sand bag (no mechanical rests) under the front of the rifle. No rear supports allowed other than the shooter's hand. A sand bag means a sand bag with no mechanical attachments and not mechanically attached to wooden blocks. You may use wooden blocks to gain extra height but they can not be attached.
There will be four targets with 10 shots for score on each. This will result in a score out of 100 on each and a total of 400 for the match. There will be unlimited sighters with a 10 minute time limit on each target.
Lake George Gun Club rules for competitions at this range will apply and will be strictly enforced.
