AUGUST 3, 2014 - PETITCODIAC - CENTERFIRE SHOOT - RESULTS

Fifteen superbly skilled shooters were on hand to enjoy the first shoot in August - a Centerfire Benchrest for Score Match consisting of 30 shots on score and unlimited sighters. The weather was fine - sunny most of the day with temperatures going up to 28C

and winds moderate to about 20km/hr. We were lucky folks to be able to spend most of a day with friends, shooting and chatting and eating the wonderful sweets that Dan G. and Shelly C. brought.

We shot several different

calibers ranging from .222 Remington to 30BR. Cecil H. with his new 6mm PPC won with a perfect 300 target and enters the exalted realms of the Petitcodiac 300 Club - congratulations Cecil. The rest of us - well we shot pretty good too. At least one of us was happy to get his gear working as it should - (first match with that kit!) - and to figure out, by the time the last target arrived, what was going on. As this particular shooter is getting a little older, a 20 power scope is just not cutting it anymore. Oh well - live and learn!

 This shoot would not have been possible if many people had not pitched in to help.
