It was another great day for our final Match after completing the .22Benchrest preliminary series. This being the Annual Martin F. Topf Championship shoot.
The weather was good; starting out with fog in the early am, which dissipated and turned into a bright sunny day. Temperatures were into the 24C range. Winds started out very light, but had gusts to 12km range and changing direction. Shooters had choices which condition to follow. Nevertheless, one third of the competitors shot a 500 score. Good shooting guys!
At noon, we broke for a light lunch at the clubhouse. Thanks to John C. for handling all the food services and the procurement of top awards and the prize draw held afterwards.
At the end of the shoot, awards were presented to the top three shooters; Bert deV, John McC., and John M. Congrats guys; good shooting. The Club also presented awards for the Preliminary Shoots leading up to the MFT Championship. Dale H. scored a 500x35 for the High Match score. John McC. shot a 250x21 for the High Single Target.
In closing, Thanks to all who helped with the scoring, target preparation and running, Range Officering, etc. And of course we appreciated the fine treats during the match.
Volker T, Dir.
