MAY 7, 2017 - MINTO - 22BR and SPORTER - RESULTS

After several days of heavy rain, which has caused flooding all over New Brunswick and especially in the St. John River valley, we have a dry day for our 22BR shoot in Minto.
The day began with the second quarterly meeting of the Minto Gun Club 1979 Inc. Although we did have a quorum, the flooding and also the Irishtown Gun Show depleted our ranks with 10 members in attendance. After the meeting was done, we began the 22BR shoot.

The temperature was "absolutely marvelous" as one of our shooters commented. Can you believe it? The temperature in the morning was about 15C which rose to about 20C later in the afternoon. The winter coats and gloves that we wore at the last shoot were discarded for no coats and shirtsleeves.

There was no rain even though scattered showers were in the forecast. It remained partially cloudy with the sun coming out from time to time. The wind was tricky, coming from all quarters of the range and varied from no wind to gusts of about 30km/hr.

Today, John McC. was the Match Director. Don M. was the scorer and George M. was the score verifier. Targets were set and changed by Dave C., John McC., Bruce B., Gerard D., George M. and Bert deV. The Range Officers for the match were John McC., Bert deV. and Dave C.

There were no treats today - instead Dave C. had made a delectable chili and his own brown bread rolls. Delicious. Thanks Dave and thanks also to all who helped out today.
