AUGUST 15, 2021 - PETITCODIAC RIMFIRE BR - RESULTS

Sunday was a perfect day for a Rimfire BR match in Petitcodiac with the sun out all day and very light winds in the first half of the match. The wind did pick up a bit and became more switching and less predictable in the afternoon.

AUGUST 8, 2021 - MINTO RIMFIRE BR SHOOT - RESULTS

It started out cool and foggy early this morning on our trip to Minto, New Brunswick. Over night it had rained hard and the roads were still wet with puddles. Just before we started shooting, the sun came out and we all thought it might be a hot humid day but this was not to be. It turned out to be a comfortable temperature in the low 20s with the sun out for the entire match. The wind was very difficult to predict with predominant winds from the right and also straight from the targets to the shooters. Although direction was simple enough, the velocity was so hard to read that we managed few clean targets and even fewer Xs. Congratulations go to Matt McA. who shot a clean 400/23X and won the "Open" class with Bert deV coming second with a 400/19X.

AUGUST 1, 2021 - PETITCODIAC CENTERFIRE BR - RESULTS

Sure, and it was a glorious day for a shootin' match in Petitcodiac. The sun was shining as if there were no tomorrow and there were a few fluffy balls of clouds skating across the sky. The wind was kind, coming mostly from the left with a few switches and plenty of quiet times. The conditions, with the exception of mirage, could hardly have been better. As a result, we had a lot of fun and shot pretty well besides - no clean targets but pretty well just the same.

JULY 25, 2021 - MINTO - CENTERFIRE BR - OPEN AND SPORTER - RESULTS

This was a good day for shooting in Minto. The sun was out for the first part of the shoot and it became gradually more overcast as the day wore on. The temperature hovered around 24C as was predicted but the humidity increased into the afternoon. The all important wind remained essentially the same from start to finish with about 5-10km/hr winds from 9:00 o'clock - this made shooting a little easier. Still the occasional gust and switch did catch some (maybe all) of us pulling the trigger when we should have waited.

JULY 11, 2021 - MINTO RIMFIRE BR - RESULTS

It was hot and sticky - a true New Brunswick summer day. The sun was out and the bugs were not too bad - with the exception of hornets which seems to taken up residence in the shooting building. The wind was very mild but there were some unseen swirls and eddies at play which resulted in some lost points. Lots of eager shooters were out today and we welcome J-M deV. who came to visit from Saskatoon. He promptly shot a clean target in open class with 400/24X - congratulations!

JULY 4, 2021 - PETITCODIAC - CENTERFIRE BR - RESULTS

When we got ready to leave this morning it was 9C outside - I think it didn't get any warmer than 13C during the day. What a change from a few days ago when it was 32 to 35C. It rained all day and remained overcast - good for sighting without mirage. Bad for target changers who got very wet. The wind was steady but gusted strongly from time to time. It was not hard to find a condition in which the wind flags appeared the same but hidden in this were tricky winds that could not be easily seen and which resulted in no clean match scores today. Still the 12 shooters who attended had a lot of fun and shot reasonably well.
