Today was a beautiful fall day in New Brunswick with light overcast conditions that were just perfect for seeing the targets. As it warmed up a little, we shed our coats and rolled up our sleeves and had to adjust to a bit of mirage. The wind was also benign with few surprises, although in Petitcodiac the wind always has a little twist here and there, and today was no exception. We had to contend with a gust or two mostly in the final relay. It was also a day in which it was wise to consider multiple flags rather than rely on "just the one in line with your target".
Mysteriously, there were only 9 shooters in attendance. We had lots of fun and enjoyed the company as well as the lunch provided by John C. with dessert cooked up by Dorothy McC. During the shooting we had cookies made by Barb J., who usually does not shoot centerfire but who drove Cecil H. and stayed to help out. Timbit were in abundance thanks to Dan G. Today Volker T. was the match director and head scorer with Dan G. verifying the scores and stats. Targets were set and changed by John McC., Bruce B. and Bert deV. The Range Officers were John McC. and Darryl K. Thanks to everyone for your help today.
After the shooting was done, we returned to the PSC Club House for presentation of the awards. The highest target score of 100/10X was shot during the regular season, (which was a bit short this year due to the Covid-19 epidemic), by Bert deV. who also had the highest match score (300/24X).
