FEBRUARY 22, 2015 - PETITCODIAC - CENTERFIRE BR - RESULTS

Well, we finally had our alternate date shoot under way after the
last storm cancellation. Although it did snow today too, a dozen shooters made it through the snowy roads onto the range. And the shoot earned a term of endearment as the ‘Woosie’ shoot. This was as a result of John McC’s friendly tease of shooters deciding to cancel the last shoot due to the ‘little’ blizzard we had encountered.
Along with moderate temps of -2C and light winds, and overcast skies, it was a good shoot. No 300’s shot, but Ron M. had his 308Win humming and was very close - next time, Ron.

Thanks to John McC, Ron M., Tom N., and Dan G. who undertook snow removal from the last storm event so the range was accessible to the shooters. Thanks for the sweets, Shelly; they were tasty, as always. And as usual, shooters pitched in to be RO and do target setting. Thanks.
Your match Director, Volker…………reminding you to ”keep that trigger finger in tune”.

FEBRUARY 7, 2015 - LAKE GEORGE - .22 RIMFIRE BR - RESULTS

Thanks to Terry McN. for sending this match report and to  Barb J. for sending the pictures.

"We had eleven brave souls turn out for the shoot today at Lake George Gun Club despite a -20c start. With a warm clubhouse, thanks to Bruce B. and some cleaning of ice from the benches by Carl J., George M. and Cecil H. we got things underway. As the sun came up the temperature did as well but, as we all know, the evil wind came with it which played havoc with the shooters patience.
Inside the clubhouse things were cooking with hot coffee, hot dogs and, of course, Barb J.'s delicious gumdrop cake.

The top shooters in Open Class were Cecil H. with 400/19X - congratulations - he is listed again in the LGGC Perfect targets shot. Carl J., with 399/8X came in second.
In Sporter Class, Wayne K. placed first with 281/13X and Bruce B. was second with 266/10X.
Thanks to all who helped with targets, RO, scoring, treats and cleanup. Here are the results for today:

25-01-2015 MINTO CENTERFIRE SHOOT RESULTS

Despite the horrible weather the Centerfire Shoot in Minto went ahead with only the most tough and hardy shooters attending. Yes . . . wait for it . . . there was one shooter - President Wayne K. shot the match by himself and did very well indeed!

Wayne sent this report:
"I was the only shooter that showed up. Unofficially I did shoot the required amount of targets and in the 1st target shot a 48/2X. In the 2nd target a  50/2X while in the 3rd target 50/3X. Too bad they don’t count. I still had fun."

Wayne says that we are going to decide at the next CF shoot if we are going to have a make up shoot later on.

Remember, the honor is not to win a gold medal but to be able to participate.
