FROM THE CHIEF FIREARMS OFFICER OF NEW BRUNSWICK:

"2025-08-26

Notice from the Chief Firearms Officer
Subject: Lifting of Temporary Suspension of Shooting Range Operations

Dear Sir/Madam,
On August 26, 2025, the Province of New Brunswick announced the reopening of
Crown Land activities, effective at 12:01 a.m. on that date.
In alignment with this directive, the Provincial Firearms Office advises that all shooting
ranges operating under approvals on New Brunswick Crown Land leases may now
resume regular activities.
Shooting ranges operating under approval not on New Brunswick Crown Land leases,
which voluntarily suspended activities, may also resume regular operations.
Your care of New Brunswick habitats during this time of preventative caution is deeply
appreciated.
Please make yourselves aware of recommendations made by the Province of New
Brunswick on how the citizenship and users of forested environments can continue to
keep our province safe.

Regards,

Marie-Pier Picard
Chief Firearms Officer"
