APRIL 14, 2019 - PETITCODIAC CF BR - RESULTS

Today was a wonderful day for the Centerfire Benchrest shoot at Petitcodiac Sportsman's Club. The temp ranged from +4 to +16C. It was wonderfully sunny out on the range floor and at least one
target changer walked slowly to get the benefits of all that wonderful heat. There was some wind in the 10-20km range but not enough to frustrate - just enough to keep people on their toes.

A dozen shooters came out to enjoy the day. Good to see Bert recovering well from recent surgery and hanging out with the shooters.

Thanks to Dan G. and Shelly C. for the tasty sweets. The Match Director was Volker T. who along with John McC. did
the scoring. Range Officers were Bert deV and Dan G. Thanks to many folks, including Shelly C., John McC., Volker T., Dve C., Bert deV., Cecil H., and Dan G. for running the targets today.

APRIL 7, 2019 - MINTO 1ST QUARTERLY MEETING AND 22RF BR - RESULTS.

April 7 - you'd think it would be a wonderful spring day by now but, true to the overall temperatures this year, it was a bit of cold overcast day with temperatures finally coming out of the "cold" category only after lunch time. It was only then that snow started to melt and shooters were coming out to enjoy the sun.
Although we were all glad to hang out with friends and fellow shooters and many of us finally caught up with our pals, we were a bit humbled by the wind conditions today. The Minto wind was brutal and easily tossed the 22RF bullets 3 rings out of the 10 (some even had the extra joy of seeing a lovely little hole 6 or more rings out).
Despite the horrible conditions, some very good shooting was done - congrats to all.
The Match Director was Don M. who also served as head scorer while Wayne K. did the score verification. Thanks to Ben F. and Shawn R. who changed targets for the whole match. Thanks also to Matt McA., David C., Barb J., Volker T., and Darryl K. who served as Range Safety Officers. Finally, many thanks to Barb J. for bringing her wonderful banana bread and squares for all to enjoy.

MARCH 31, 2019 - PETITCODIAC - RF BR - RESULTS

Today was a good day travelling  to the shoot. The highways were clear, and nice to see the vast fields clear of snow. The rifle range floor was clear as well; good to see. When we arrived, Charles McQ. already had the stove warm and target frames set; Thanks.
The sky was overcast at first, but changed to sunny later. The temperature range was 9C to 19C. But the wind was another story. It ranged from 20km and gusted to 40km at times! Even for Petticodiac, it was challenging. But a couple 'wind wisperers' were quite successful. Congrats to our top three shooters: Darryl K., Dave C., and Barb J.

Medals were also presented to Cecil H. and Barb J. for last month's .22rimfire BR shoot. John McC absent.

Thanks to Barb J and John M. for the tasty sweets, which quickly disappeared. Some shooters need that bit of sugar to hit those X's, lol. Thanks to Chris S., Dan G. and Dave C. for target setting. And thanks to the score Verifiers, Charles McQ. and Dave C. Range officers were Bruce B. and Dan G. Scorer and Director, Volker.

MARCH 17, 2019 - PETITCODIAC - CF BR - RESULTS

Here is the report for yesterday's shoot. Many Thanks Volker!
"The day was sunny with cool temps at -4 to -2C. Snow is slowly receding leaving ice conditions that made for cautious walking for the target
setters. Winds were light to moderate at 20, gusting to 32km, and at times swirling on the range - a condition we have come to expect.
Eleven shooters were eager to brave the cool air for the first CF shoot of this month. Everyone was in good spirits. Brian brought his new Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5mm Creedmore with factory ammo and shot quite well. It will be interesting to see when he handloads for it. Thanks to Dan G., Shelly C., and John M. for the sweets which went fast as shooters huddled around the wood stove for warmth. Targets were set by Dan G. and John McC. who were also the Range Officers for the match. Directing and Scoring was by Volker.
Medals were also presented to the top shooters for the past February 17th match: 1st, Bert deV.(absent); 2nd , John McC.; and 3rd, Dan G. We also take this time to wish Bert a speedy and full recovery from his recent surgery. We look forward to seeing you on the range again with all your shooting friends.
The top three shooters for today's match were Shelly C., John McC., and Dan G. Good shooting folks.

On Saturday, March 2, 2109, the third and final Terry McNeill Memorial Shoot was held at the Lake George Gun Club. What a beautiful day!!!
