After a long season of shooting everyone sort of expects things to go a certain way. Usually we know who scores, who is the match director etc. Not today - today was a "fun shoot" and several people were not present. As a result, no-one knew who was directing the shoot and what targets to use. 
Thankfully, Wayne K. stepped up to be the Match director and we decided to shoot a regular rimfire match. Wayne also was the head scorer and Dale H. volunteered to be the score verifier. The targets were set and changed by Bert deV., George M., Bruce B., Mike C. and John M. The ROs were Conrad L., Mike C., David C., Darryl K. and Bert deV. Coffee and do-nuts were brought by Bill H., Wayne K., and David C.
Just as we were finishing the last relay, President David C. brought out some fun targets - crows - each worth 10 points for a head shot, (less for other shots and nothing for a miss). Needless to say, this changed the water on the beans. The first relay was blessed with 3 guys crossfiring which knocked them out of the competition. Other relays did better but those who shot well in the rimfire match were no longer winners after the crows were done! Conclusion? Crow targets are a great asset to democracy and a fine way for the whole club to have "fun".
