Thanks to Darryl K. for the pics and to Volker T. for the results.

The weather was good for this shoot. It was sunny and temperatures ranged from 14-23C. Winds were not bad; ranging from 7-17km W/SW, but mirage did cause some challenges to shooters. Running two relays made for a quick shoot.  Thanks to all who helped with the scoring , target setting and range officering, etc. Following are the scores:

AUGUST 14, 2022 - PETITCODIAC - 22RF BR - RESULTS

The day started out with rain, predicted in 25-40mm amounts. Well, it surely was wet for the first relay. The targets were soaking wet, and clung to one another. It was necessary to gingerly separate them and let them dry before scoring.  The scoring was a slow task for our diligent scorer.  The rain stopped for the second set of targets. Three 500 scores were posted.

The temperature was a decent 18-20C and winds were light with 10-20km gusts and some quiet spells. Timing of shots proved fruitful. Fourteen shooters enjoyed themselves regardless of the dampness which was offset by our nice wood stove. Thanks to scorer John McC., and verifier Dan G. for dealing with the 'soft' targets. Thanks also to all the target crew, our range officers, Bruce B. and Darryl K. (photographer), and Dan G. for the sweets.
Sadly we learned today of the passing of one of our comrades, Carl Jamieson. He was a true gentleman and friend to all. We will miss him, and send sincerest condolences to Barb and her family from all of our shooters.

JULY 17, 2022 - PETITCODIAC - RF BENCHREST - RESULTS

It was a glorious July morning, starting out at around 20 degrees and a near nothing to 10 km wind.....that was to change.....temperature and wind speed.  While still relatively moderate, the wind was twitchy and you could get caught. Fifteen shooters participated today with six posting perfect 500’s. Another 500/35X was shot today, this time by Dale H., who also won the match. Seems like there is no limit to how high the bar is being set in respect to the level of competition we are experiencing.....we’ve come a long way! Everyone pitched in, as per usual, to make hosting the match trouble free....thank-you everyone. A special thank-you to Barb J. for the awesome date squares and banana bread.  Awesome day spent with friends.

JULY 10. 2022 - MINTO - RF BENCHREST - RESULTS

Thanks to Barb J. for sending these results and write-up.

There were fifteen shooters competing in Minto today. It was a beautiful, cool, extremely windy day at the range. In fact, I have never seen wind flags revolving so rapidly with out of control propellers. Due to the wind factor , it took most of us the whole twenty-five minutes to complete the relay. Everyone helped out which made for a lovely day. Target Changers were George M., Guy H., Conrad L. and David C.. Range Officers were Conrad L., Darryl K., Matt McA., and John M. Barb J. brought cookies and banana bread. The scorer was Bruce B. and David C. verified the results. Special thanks to Bruce and Dave for making sure everything ran smoothly. Congratulations to the winners.  Open Class  1st  Cecil H.and 2nd Wayne LeB.   Sporter Class  1st Guy H. and 2nd  Norbert S.

JUNE 26, 2022 - MINTO - CENTERFIRE TEAM SHOOT - RESULTS

The Annual CF Team Match was hosted today by the Minto Gun Club. The weather started out with overcast skies, but soon turned into sunny weather with temps in the 28-30C range. Winds were very light but frequently changing directions and speed. Shooters had to pay attention to these changes and occasional mirage.  Nevertheless, some good scores were posted. The Petitcodiac Sportsmen Team took 1st place. Scores as following.
Shooters arrived and had the opportunity for some morning sweets and beverages. Thanks to Barb J. and Dave C. for this. Barb's homemade jam was delicious as well. The lady can cook and shoot! Dave made a quick trip at noon to supply a couple of tasty pizzas to treat the hungry crowd.  Thanks also to Scorer Don M., and Verifier John McC. And to the target changers and Range Officers. Great job done by all.
Congrats to the top Scorers, John McC., and Dave C.
