Yes it was a very rainy and dark day today and the weatherman must have been chuckling as he said "See, I told you so!". Not only was it wet all throughout the match but it was cool - just like a fall day in New Brunswick. It was nice to go from the shooting building to the clubhouse where the wood stove had been lit.
As it was to be a "fun shoot" today nobody had thought to bring wind flags and it sure was fun to shoot without good indicators of the wind. We ended up using the branches of trees and the few straggling ribbons still stapled to the target frames from earlier shoots. This seemed to be all some shooters needed to do pretty well in conditions that included some hearty gusts.
This shoot was organized by John McC. who, along with his son, designed the targets and printed them for us to use. John also scored the targets and worked up the stats. Many thanks John and Shane - we all enjoyed the shoot. (yes we had fun!).
Dale H., John Mo., George M. and Don Me. all braved the elements to change the targets and dry them on the wood stove. Thanks guys! Range officers were Wayne K., Conrad L. and George M.
