The sun was out all day and the temperature hovered around 24C in the later stages of the match. The wind was very light to not visible and coming from 6 o'clock. In short - ideal conditions for shooting - except - the mirage was brutal. It was not only hard, but almost impossible, to see your target rings and patient calculation was required to figure out the center of the target. The bullet holes (depending on how small they were) were hard to find at times.
Despite this, some very good target scores were recorded with 5 shooters reaching the elusive clean targets. Congratulations are due to Guy H. who finished first with a 300/20X. Bert deV. was second with 300/18X tied by Danny G. Mike C. shot a 300/17X and John McC. a 300/11X. These last 2 guys deserve special mention as this was Mike's first clean match 300, while John shot with eye-surgery complications. Well done all!!
