April 4 and two weeks into spring. You'd think it would be warm and sunny with birds singing and crocuses coming up out of the ground. But no - this is New Brunswick after all. So we had a cold morning with temperatures starting at about -4C in the morning and rising to +4C in the afternoon. The sky stayed grey all day with not even a hint of sunshine.
The wind was biting cold and everything we had been wearing all winter was welcome today. Noses and fingers were frozen. It blew in from the north at a steady 25km/hr with gusts to 45. Later in the day it slowed a little but was still difficult to deal with. It was kindest to heavy 308 bullets moving them about 1/2 inch and much less kind to light 224 bullet which were pushed over an inch.
