It was a very busy day in Minto with the 2 hour long Annual General Meeting held in the morning under the capable chairmanship of Wayne K. who was filling in for President Dave C. David had slipped on the ice and had fallen on his back, injuring several ribs. Our best wishes for a speedy recovery go to David who, according to reports, cannot move without a good deal of pain.
Following the AGM, we held a rimfire match which was supposed to be a fun shoot. In the same vein as "teaching old dogs new tricks", we had a good stiff competition with some pretty darn-good shooting despite the cold (it was -10C - a bit early in the year for that according to all shooters who hovered around the stove after shooting their relays !!). The wind was not very strong but was reufully called "tricky" by several apparently disappointed shooters.
The match director today was Don M. who again, stepped in at the last minute and who did the scoring as well. Mike C. did the verifying while Conrad L., Wayne K. and Dale H. were the ROs. Targets were changed by Guy H., Mike C., Shawn R., Darryl K., and Cecil H. I may have missed some others who changed targets as well - sorry guys. Wayne had brought the coffee and Bert deV. the cookies. The photographer "par excellence" was Darryl K. Thanks to all for helping out today.
