Only 8 shooters attended this benchrest shoot on the nicest day we have enjoyed all year. I guess that on a day such as this everyone was coming out of doors and doing work in
their yards or being on a cruise.
The sun was out all day radiating its warmth and by the afternoon a temperature of 12 degrees C. was recorded. In fact the coolest place on the range today was in the shooting building where a
strong wind came in through the open ports.
Yes, there was a strong wind which varied in direction from 3 o'clock to 12 o'clock but which could come from anywhere in gusts. If you weren't careful you most certainly would get caught in a wind change. The
scores reflect the difficult conditions today. Challenging but satisfying when you read the wind correctly and your shot printed on the 10 ring.
Today the Match Director was John McC. Scoring was done by our good friend Don M. and the verification of the scores
and calculations was done by Wayne K. The targets were set and changed by George M., John McC., Wayne K., Bruce B. and Bert deV. The Range Officers were Bruce B. and Bill H. Shelly C.'s wonderful squares were brought up to the shoot by Tony L. Many thanks to all for lending a hand today.
