It was a terrific day for a shoot in Minto - with temperatures hovering around 12C in the morning and going up to 28C in the afternoon. The wind was mild - non-existent to maybe 8 km/hr although it would switch back and forth from time to time. Conditions were not the same for each relay but such is shooting in Minto! Eighteen shooters took advantage of the weather to shoot the second to last 22BR shoot for Minto. Many of us did not do as well as what we had hoped for, but we certainly had a lot of fun and as you can see from the pictures, we all caught up with friends and fellow shooters we had not seen for some time.
Today's shoot was organized by the Match Director - Dave C. The scorer was Wayne K. and the scores were verified by Carl J. The Range Safety Officers were Bruce B., Carl J. and Darryl K. Targets were changed by Bruce B., George M. and Cecil H. The wonderful Banana and Lemon Breads were made by Barb J. Thanks everyone for pitching in to help!
Today the hardware was brought home by shooters in Class "A" shooting a tuned Cooper and an Anschutz 54 while in Class "B" the top shooters used Savage rifles. In Sporter Class, a CZ and a Zastava were used. Congratulations to the winners and to all for a really fun shoot!
