OCTOBER 2, 2022 - MINTO - RNBRA RIMFIRE BENCHREST CHAMPIONSHIP - RESULTS

Combined RNBRA & Minto Rim Fire Match, Open & Sporter Class

Thanks to the Minto Gun Club for hosting this years 2022 RNBRA Rim Fire match. It was a cool morning with temperatures hovering around 2 - 4C to start the match and temperatures slowly reached about 13C by the end of the competition. Wind was brisk to say the least and ranged form about 10 - 20 km/h, with the dominant wind being N - NE. As a result, only 2 clean targets were recorded in the Open Class, 1 each by Dale H. and Matt McA. Between RO duties and Target changing, stoking the wood stove and warming up the soup, scoring and verifying, everyone seemed to have great time. Thanks to those who travelled distances ranging from Florenceville to Saint John to Petitcodiac, to participate. A total of 24 shooters attended with some shooting in both classes. Eighteen (18) shooters in the Open Class, and, Eleven (11) shooters in the Sporter Class.

SEPTEMBER 25, 2022 - PETITCODIAC - CENTERFIRE BR FINAL CHAMPIONSHIP - RESULTS

Thanks to Volker T. for these results and to Darryl K. for the pics.
Today, PSC held the Centerfire Benchrest Championship match. We had a relatively small crowd of ten,  but had two relays of eager shooters. The day was sunny and clear with a temperature of 13-19C. The  wind was a light 13 -20km, especially after hurricane Fiona left our area last night. Shooting in 100 km+  winds would not have been fun. Thankfully, all of our shooters had escaped the wrath of Fiona. The  lighting was good, but with almost unending mirage, shooters were challenged to get a clear picture of  the bullseye. Congrats to all three top scoring shooters: Bert deV., Dan G., and Malcolm McA.

We broke for a short lunch which was assembled thanks to John C. It was accompanied with nice  sweets, courtesy of Dorothy McC.
At the close of the match, Team medals were presented to the PSC Team which took 1st place at the  annual CF Team Shoot. Team members were: Dan G., Darryl K., Volker T., Tony L., Bruce B., and John  McC.

A plaque was presented to Malcolm McA. for the preliminary series High Match Score of 300x19. There was a four way tie among Dan G., Malcolm McA., Don M., and Bert deV. for the High Single Target score of 100x8.

Thanks to Dan G, who Directed all of the preliminary matches. Also to today's RO's, Bruce B. and John  McC., our photographer, Darryl K., and everyone who assisted in our match.

SEPTEMBER 11, 2022 - PETITCODIAC - 8TH ANNUAL MARTIN F. TOPF RIMFIRE CHAMPIONSHIP - RESULTS

Results will be posted when they become available.

It was another great day for our final Match after completing the .22Benchrest preliminary series. This being the Annual Martin F. Topf Championship shoot.
The weather was good; starting out with fog in the early am, which dissipated and turned into a bright sunny day. Temperatures were into the 24C range. Winds started out very light, but had gusts to 12km range and changing direction. Shooters had choices which condition to follow. Nevertheless, one third of the competitors shot a 500 score. Good shooting guys!
At noon, we broke for a light lunch at the clubhouse. Thanks to John C. for handling all the food services and the procurement of top awards and the prize draw held afterwards.
At the end of the shoot, awards were presented to the top three shooters; Bert deV, John McC., and John M. Congrats guys; good shooting. The Club also presented awards for the Preliminary Shoots leading up to the MFT Championship. Dale H. scored a 500x35 for the High Match score. John McC. shot a 250x21 for the High Single Target.
In closing, Thanks to all who helped with the scoring, target preparation and running, Range Officering, etc. And of course we appreciated the fine treats during the match.
Volker T, Dir.
