JUNE 27, 2021 - MINTO CENTERFIRE BR - RESULTS

It was a "super-summer day" with the humidity and temperature very high today at the Minto center fire shoot - a good time was had by all. There were 8 shooters today with 3 doing double duty shooting in both classes. Open Class was won by Cecil H. with David C. coming second. Mike C. won the Sporter class with Dan G. finishing second.

JUNE 20, 2021 - PETITCODIAC RIMFIRE BR - RESULTS

It was a wonderful day for friends to have the opportunity to get together for some shooting....definitely an excellent kick off to summer.  The wind seemed benign but that turned out to be not the case at all.  Only four 250’s were shot today, two of them by the winner of the match who also joined the 500 Club .  Chris S. won the match with a score of 500/24X. Very good shooting indeed.  Dale H. got second and Matt McA. brought home the bronze. 

Barb J. brought two huge plates of cookies that were awesome! Gone in a flash!   Bruce B. and Darryl K. were the ROs today and Matt McA., Bruce B. and Chris S. set targets, (I may have missed someone there, sorry )  John McC. was the score verifier and Dan G. was both the Match Director and scorer.   Thanks everyone and a Happy Fathers Day!

JUNE 13, 2021 - MINTO - RIMFIRE BR - RESULTS

It was a lovely warm spring day in Minto, New Brunswick with sun all throughout the match and a wind which looked very easy and benign at first. It did not take long to discover that it would move a 22 long rifle bullet at least a 1/4 of an inch on the target and sometimes much more than that - even to the coloured rings which meant a loss of 3 or 4 points per shot. The wind was mostly from right to left but at times this would be completely reversed and a good portion of the match had 3 or 9 o'clock winds as well. Tricky and humbling!!

Despite this, we saw 4 targets with a 200 score and were glad to see Barb J. win the match - congrats Barb.

JUNE 6, 2021 - PETITCODIAC - 4TH ANNUAL TERRY McNEILL CENTERFIRE TEAM SHOOT - INDIVIDUAL RESULTS

These are the result of individual shooters during the 4th Annual Terry McNeill Team Match. Each shooter shot 30 rounds for score in 3 relays during the match. Congratulations to John McC. who shot a 300/19X and to Bert deV. who shot 300/25X.

Although the weather was generally pretty nice with gentle winds, there was a severe problem with mirage in the relays that took place later in the day. Several shooters felt the pain of shooting at the wrong moment when the target danced in the scope.

JUNE 6, 2021 - PETITCODIAC - THE 4TH ANNUAL TERRY McNEILL CENTERFIRE TEAM SHOOT - TEAM RESULTS

It was a beautiful summery day in New Brunswick although the weatherman had predicted some showers. It was overcast but still pretty bright - good light conditions for target shooting. The wind was generally light from 6:00 o'clock with a few switches from time to time. Even though the black flies and mosquitos were pretty bad, it was a very good day to be in Petitcodiac for the 4th Annual Terry McNeill Centerfire Team Shoot.

Each club fielded a team with various number of members. Of these, the four top shooters contributed to the team score. Because Lake George did not have 4 members present, Tony L. graciously volunteered to shoot with them. The host club was Team Petitcodiac which provided the man-power to run the match and also, thanks to John C. provided a lunch for all shooters. Thanks to everyone who helped make this annual event so much fun.

Congratulations to Team Minto which shot an impressive score and won the event.
