MARCH 29, 2026 - MINTO - RIMFIRE OPEN + SPORTER

The temperature was -5C when we arrived and slowly improved to +2C. The wind steadily increased through the morning until afternoon, 10km/hr increasing to 25 km/h with gusts to 40+ km/h. Although the temperature was rising, the increasing strong winds made it feel about the same all day, about -6C. Today's scores reflect the difficulty in judging when was the right time to squeeze the trigger. Many thanks to the Target Changers and Range Officers who all endured today’s chilling conditions.

Regardless of the cold & windy conditions, everyone seemed to be cheerful and having a very enjoyable time. I think it’s safe to say though, we are all looking forward to warmer days.

"The turn out was down as it was still too cold for some shooters. Today, the

temperature started out at - 7C which was cool enough but the the wood stove sure helped. We kept it well stoked up. The shoot went very smoothly under the direction of Danny G. as the shooting conditions were good and so the wind flags were not too busy. "

MARCH 8, 2026 - PETITCODIAC - RIMFIRE BR

Darryl sends the following: "Here is today's shoot. It was not too bad a day with temperatures ranging from 4-8C. It was raining off and on with no sun and so no mirage, but a bit of ground fog as the day got warmer. The typical trusty Petitcodiac wind made sure it caught most of the shooters (turning some potential 500 scores into 499 - ed.). All-in-all, it was a pretty good turn out for the first match in Petticodiac with one new shooter  - Kevin C. The wood stove and the propane stove felt good (on what was still a pretty cool day - ed)".

The temperature was -1C when we arrived and rapidly dropped to -5C. The wind, blowing from 17 - 25 km/h, made it feel much colder. With only 11 shooters, it was a challenge for everyone to warm up. Many thanks to the Target Changers and Range Officers who all endured today's harsh conditions.
