This was the final shoot of the year for PSC. and also for all formal Benchrest shooting in our part of New Brunswick. The next time you'll see us is in 2022.
The weather was cooperative, more or less. No rain, snowstorms, nor excessive wind. The temperature was in the -6 to 0 range. And the wind was light to moderate. So the range was not overfilled with wind vanes for a change.
Both stoves were up and running. Chris S. set up the propane stove and Dan G. and his crew installed a new flu for the wood stove. Thanks, guys. Shooters were comfortable and in good spirits.
We had 22 competitors. Four different targets were chosen by Volker T. for the shoot: "Good Luck"(a blank sheet of paper scored with a template), "Know Your Limits" (gradually descending sizes of little bulls), "Crows" (a few large crows on a fence and a whole bunch of teeny-tiny crows) and "Flies" (a whole bunch of flies and you've got to hit the heads). Shooters soon recalled the fun they had with them last year!
The winners and scores were:
"Good Luck" John M. 25 "Know Your Limits" Bert deV. 28
"Crows" Cecil H. 51 "Flies" Dave C. 35
