This match was the first in Petitcodiac starting the 2026 season. Darryl K. sends this report of the conditions:
"Here is our Centerfire Match. It was a very nice day with the temperature not too bad at all for February, (-5C to -1C). The woodstove served us well for Petty's first shoot of 2026. Although attendance was low, all shooters were happy to start the shooting season off. Winds were a factor as always. They were Left to Right at 10-15km/hr and, at times, switched straight away that caught some shooters."
It looks like these shooters started the season "with a bang" with some very good scores shot for individual targets as well as the match scores. Congrats to Malcolm McA. and Darryl K. for shooting a clean match.
